Dim Dim
Leigh Blackall brought DimDim to my attention and I am horrified that I didn't know about this sooner. This will fit in with my local delivery model I am developing as DimDim is a Web Conferencing company which is open source.
This has a lot of potential for me as I am currently using Centra to provide a similar service (and using this next year). At this stage DimDim is not a replacement as it is a one way service - not allowing the attendees to interact with the presenter, reducing engagement/motivation & limiting learning potential.
On the positive side the developers plan to link this with Moodle and have already used it at the Sydney Moodle Conference (I knew I should have attended)!
Feedback given at the conference encouraged the developers to integrate two-way communication, it will only be a matter of time until this becomes a functional application for education.
If all goes well we will be trialling this within my school over the next few months. I will blog regularly on my progress.

Hello Jason,
This is Sundar of Dimdim here. Thanks for considering Dimdim for your project. We have added two-way audio in the Beta version of Dimdim which will be released in the next few weeks. It would be great if you can give some feedback on its usability and feature set. You can contact me at sundar (@) dimdim.com

Thanks Sundar,
I am sure you found the follow up blog in which I evaluated DimDim.
At this stage We will not be using it as I have to be up and running with distance education in two weeks.
We have however kept a copy on the server and are looking forward to your next release.
Wen the new version is released I will ensure to contact you with my thoughts.
