School Newsletter Blogs
I am presenting at a School Support Officer conference this coming weekend in the south-east of South Australia. One of my topics is blogging.
My plan is to promote how a blog could be used to present information to a school community via an online medium. I was then going to link this into bloglines and demonstrate how all school newsletters for the south-east could be made available from the one page.
This would reduce costs and mean that mail-outs to other schools would no longer be required.
Problem....
I have only been able to find a few examples online, and the quality hasn't been that high.
Does anyone out there know of any schools that have a blog that is set up for their school newsletter?
Does anyone know of any examples I can use?

Wish I could help you but I don't think I use that side of my brain enough. I'm one of those creative types but I do think what you're asking is possible. It has to be. Good luck and it was great to stop by your blog.
This link is not a Newsletter but rather a regular component of our Newsletter.

On the paper version of the Newsletter article we print the following
"The online version of this can be found at http://www.granths.blogspot.com Here you will be able to click on the links and go and see the relating stories and articles. There is also a place there for you to leave comments and discuss the article"
This could be another way of doing it. Rather than publishing whole newsletters, the School Newsletter is a feed from various components.
Sorry, do not know of one. Why not set a trend? Be the one the others copy? Happy to act as a sounding board for format etc if you need an outside voice.
As an immediate past parent of a high school student it might have been the only way I saw any newsletters if this had been available.
Have you seen Tim Lauer's school website from Portland, Oregon? It has some really good features that you could adapt.
Thanks Graham,
You found one of the two I did find. ;-)
It isn't a bad site, and I will use it to demonstrate what others are doing.
Thank you for offering a suggestion.
There are quite a few Scottish blogs that are really ghigh quality and I think that Hope CE School would have an online newsletter. Otley All Saints is really professional too.

I have some of the links on my blog under professional development. and on the home page.
